let them. he's a good player. get's them up to 6th place. let's start worrying when they're bidding for Costa, Cavani, Fabregas, and Martinez
Other clubs' transfer activity - Summer 2014
How are they bidding on players without a manager?
Quality player but that's loads of money
Guess they are going in early as if lallana or schneiderlin went then Southampton would be less inclined to sell
Van Gaal could just tell them which targets to pursue while he fails with Netherlands at the WC.
That's a bullshit story! Wenger says transfer activity starts only after the World Cup.
... and signings can only be completed on the last day of the transfer window
Be interesting to see if any other clubs get involved. Can see Chelsea swooping
Don't think Chelsea have much interest in a full back that crosses the half way line.
Lot of cash for a left back. Would take me at least a year to earn that.

Giggs is getting ahead of himself.

Rex will tell you it's nothing.
Some Southampton fans saying it is Cortese planting stories in the press, not sure why he would do that but seems like he is a bit bitter about leaving. He was also very close to their manager who looks like he may leave this summer as well.
A very strange time to make a bid, the new manager hasn't officially taken over (even though very likely it will be Van Gaal) and they have just played Southampton today as well.
Good chance to get around the table and see what sort of deal would work for both parties.
You reckon they done it at half time?
In other news Reus has confirmed he will stay at Dortmund next season.
Not at half time, per se. But they will have spent most of the day together and the topic was presumably broached if a bid has actually gone in tonight.
Shaw, Schneiderlin, Lovren, Lallana and perhaps Rodriguez. Realise a couple of injury issues but they're Southampton players that might be in demand this summer. Southampton need money so they will look to sell 2 or 3 but if they want to progress they'll hope to keep as many good players as possible. If they get a big transfer fee early then that might lower their desperation to sell others. Makes good sense for Man Utd to go in early for Shaw.
Chambers too.
Glad Reus is staying put
Pocchetino going to Spurs this summer?
Shaw to United
Lallana to Liverpool
I'd take Schneiderlin if we fail to get Martinez.
Would have taken Rodriguez if he didn't get injured, I think he's the best of that bunch.
Liverpool have bid for Lallana apparently. Think he'd be a top player for them.
