Hart and Lloris swap deal.
Sun claiming Real will try to trigger a £70m clause in Suarez's contract.
Hopefully it works out better for them than it did for us. If we could then get Benzema for about 30m, it would leave us more than enough to strengthen in other areas as well.
It would be well funny if for the second year in a row we'd benefit massively from one of our rivals losing their star player.
That would be so perfect.
You should all go pray to your respective gods that the above happens. Benzema's movement would be amazing for Ramsey and Ozil. If Podolski can stay healthy, then we start to have somewhat of a coherent attack. Poldi's looking at his best since joining
If they reinvest the 70m well, they might actually get a stronger team overall. Not easy though as Spurs has shown.
reckon brenton will do well out of the suarez money. pool will still be competitive
If the story's correct, they will use that £70m to chase every single striker target we show an interest in.
We'll have the edge on Benz. Wenger must have been in touch with him from his Lyon days.
Not sure about the others though. Comes down to the moolah and the manager.
The edge won't matter if Liverpool won the title.

don't see why they wouldn't try to bid something mad like 45m pounds for Benzema with the Suarez money; similar to how they went all in for Andy Carroll after the Torres money. we will struggle to compete with them unless we show the necessary focus and willingness to spend. tall order
Not the way it's likely to go. Based on previous experience, we'll instead delay any moves until they've cleared out of the market with the prime options. But who knows, maybe it's a new day and we'll crush the market on day one.
Got a feeling Suarez would stay with Liverpool for another year at least.
He won't if Real Madrid come in for him
I'm not so sure personally but we'll see.

They sold Higuain for more than £30m and Benzema is more highly rated. Don't think for a second that £30m would get us Benzema.
If I'm not mistaken, he only has a year left on his contract. That would already decrease his potential transfer fee.
Unless there are plenty of suitors
Suarez will have to know that this was their season to win it. Not a chance they get this close next season!
I don't see Liverpool going in for Benzema, he doesn't fit their style, and I doubt they'd want to blow the majority of that money on one player given the holes in their squad that will be exposed next season playing CL football. If Real buy Suarez or Benzema elects not to renew his contract this summer, Benz is as good as ours IMO.
Benz is about a £45m player to me but one year left on his contract brings his price down a lot. £30m sounds about right.
Liverpool would love Benzema if Suarez goes. The only question is if he wants them.
