He didn't fail Liverpool medical. Thought QPR, Newcastle and Marseille said Liverpool lied?

I think he will find his form back in Italy. Perfect place for him to shine with the slow paced football. It's an easy league for him.

I don't know. Sometimes these "failed" medicals show nothing and sometimes they do something. Gabby Milito failed one at Madrid and was notoriously injury prone at Barcelona, Cissoko's been ok I think but he failed one at Milan, Ba was supposedly a ticking time bomb with his knee when he turned up for a medical at Stoke but he's been ok too. Apparently some rumours back in the day that Gago failed one at us and Paul Robinson's fitness levels or something were also not upto the mark at a medical here.

Wasn't the pace of the game that got to Torres.

He was once of the most feared forwards in world football when he played for Liverpool in this same league.

His loss of ability (cos this isn't form any longer) has been remarkable.

Injuries can derail a player's career. Mickey Owen is the best example.

Honestly thought Owen was going to become the best striker in English history in the early 00's.

He probably did too, he was a cracking player between the ages of 18 to 23 / 24 and then it started to slide, it might explain why he's so bitter now.
