Would love to get Sahin if we can re: DM. Probably the closest Arteta replacement we can find. Good passer, two good feet, can play some nice long diagonals and outstanding in the tackle. Did he have any injury problems?

Probably would've been a decent pickup actually. Watching him play for Besiktas it's pretty clear he's a solid pro. But he'd have ended up being a bench option and killing poor little Yaya, who if he stays fit is going to make Wengs £20m when we sell him in three years.

Personally think he is better than Giroud. More mobile and faster.

This is what he apparently said

“I’m happy at Besiktas for now,” he replied. “How close did I come to joining Arsenal? As close as you and me here, but it’s the past. I just look forward.

“Everybody knew that I wanted to come here [to Arsenal]. I wanted to join them before I joined Chelsea. I could have maybe waited longer in this transfer window for them to make a move, but I wanted to go and play for Besiktas because it’s a great club.”
