I hadn't seen any of GoT when i watched them so it just went straight out of my head. Only reference i remembered was the wedding stuff and even then i didn't see what was coming.

How could you stop reading?! Myself, I wouldn't have started reading them had I known the fucker isn't even close to finishing the series. Was well disappointed when I realized that was the case.

please don't mention any GoT outside this thread. i usually wait for season's end and then watch everything together over 3 or 4 days. i can't deal with waiting for episodes of this show

I didn't read past the book with he wedding in it. I became a bit annoyed when fuckers kept dying. Red Wedding didn't do it for me but another character did.

Based on the clips tho the series is still in the same book aye?

I did a little search and it seems the 3rd book is series 3 and 4. He's finished 5 books in total so theres probably enough for 6 series . Wonder what happens then...its gonna kill the momentum waiting for Martin to finish books 6 and 7.

Also i don't know why i always read up on stuff like this cos it always ends up with me reading spoilers.

Like I've said, he's given them a kind of a summary, describing how he will end the series. The series is planned to last for 7 or 8 seasons, and they're considering wrapping it up with a movie.

The Veronica Mars one was probably the best I've seen and it was just like a decent double ep.
