Some Newcastle website saying a few weeks his representatives met ours as well. He would be ideal for us, I reckon we could sell Giroud and get him in and probably break even. He can also play out wide for us which will give us further depth there.

Tried to look up further about the rape thing and I can't find any further information on why he was acquitted

I'd be disappointed if we ended up with just Remy as our forward addition.

I get the impression all these stories are coming from the Remy camp. Spurs seem interested, his agent probably hopes others will be too. He's certainly capable of going to a better side than Newcastle, or at the very least fleecing Newcastle if they are going to keep him.

Sell Giroud to Monaco. Sign Remy as a new backup striker along with an A-list type starting striker #dreamworld

Remy is ok but he's not even a second tier striker for me and at 27 I can't imagine he's got much more to offer than his current mediocre level.

So would I but he is definitely someone we could add while looking for a star striker as well.

He's an excellent striker for a backup, but not good enough to start. Still better than Giroud, but I certainly hope Wenger doesn't intend to use him as our main striker.

Yep.

he's great low-hanging fruit. sign him now and then you can go out this summer and go big. if need be, we can shake Podolski this summer. Remy can play alone or next to Giroud or the new guy.

That is what I like about him, I think he is versatile enough to play out wide or in the middle for us.

JazzG, I'm sure you've heard me drumming on about it. We need goals in the team. This guy knows how to keep goalies collecting balls from their nets. Regardless of whether we go after another striker, we should bring him in.

I'm tired of listening to Arsenal fans each May talking about "oh, if only Robin or Theo had been fit all season, we would have won it all". Buy some goals

I prefer Remy to Mandzukic. Purely because we need pace and I Remy sometimes remind me abit of Henry

He could play central or wide, which is certainly a bonus and seems to have a better all around game than Giroud. Not the forward signing I'm dreaming of but I certainly see him doing as well or better than Giroud at this point.

A back up forward who can lead the line but also offer some sort of alternative to Theo would be ideal. I thought thats what Podolski would be but he's neither.

He's poor with his back to goal. I'd rather play Theo upfront which says a lot 'cos I'm not a huge fan of Theo in that position.

I would target Welbeck to be our back-up striker. Sell Giroud and bring in Costa or someone of that ilk.

I'd take Remy and fit him in somewhere in the front four.

bring him in as a straight replacement for Podolski. Also dump Bendnter and replace him with a starting striker. that's the frontline sorted. thank Claudius with a Salmanazr of champagne
