he market is moving, even in the spring. And the moves are important. The agent Mandzukic has flown to London to speak with Chelsea and Arsenal to understand the intentions of the two English clubs against him. Some survey, contacts circumstance. Croatian sull'attaccante even Real Madrid, affected by time. The arrival of Lewandowski, from June new player of Bayern Monaco, put the player in the pre-alarm. The prosecutor moves and studying the moves of the big London. Chelsea or Arsenal, Bayern striker currency's future. From June, perhaps, away from the Bundesliga.

i'd take him if were signing another complete striker as well. as a solitary signing i'd be underwhelmed.

If we don't nab Costa he's probably the second best option. Would be a massive upgrade over Giroud.

He's a nice back-up plan but we should definitely aim higher and just see what happens.

He's what Giroud should be. Granted he missed a sitter against us but he's a decent finisher. He scores more than Giroud, he scores more in big games etc.

I agree with the sentiment that he should be a back-up option. Ideally though we can replace Giroud with this guy and get another striker in.

Only reason Mandzukic would move is because he wants to play regularly with Lewandowski coming in. He's obviously not going to change the bench at Bayern for the bench at Arsenal.

True Klaus. I know you don't rate Lewy much but I think he'd have been the perfect fit for us. He's not very fast but mobile, has excellent link-up play and gives you 20-30 goals plus 10 odd assists every season.

i thnk lewandowski woulve been perfect for us as well. his skill level is underrated

There are better strikers available out there. If we end up with Mandžukic, I'll be very disappointed.

Names? Other than Costa I can't think of one.

No he isn't

Lewandowski is plenty fast for a big bloke.

Potentially Benzema, Cavani, Falcao or even Balotelli.

You don't need to look any further than Costa though. Just get him in and be done with it.

Benzema has hit form at real, cavani is at a mega rich club their never going to let him leave even if he has a preference for playing central. Falcao is injured, at a mega rich club and Chelsea seemed to have strong intrest before the injury.
Balotelli doesn't listen so I don't know how anyone expects him to reach his potential.

Costa has only been hot for one season, like zaki or benteke last season. I'm not against signing him but I think he'll be over priced.

You could find arguments like that against anyone. Fortunately, football doesn't work like that.

Since real sold ozil to us people seem to think top clubs will sell their great strikers to us.
I was just pointing out that there isn't tons of options this year.

When has there ever been tons of options in the market for top strikers?

Falcao, Kaka, Negredo, higgy, tevez, Suarez, soldodo (flopped), eto, jovetic, Gomez, vicinic, balotelli ? Ade, Rooney was been guided towards the exit door, the rest were all on the move last summer. Probably others I'm forgetting.
Suarez wasn't sold to us as were competing with them but they made noises that he was available.
