He is an excellent player, but I don't think we need that kind of player.
Julian Draxler
if draxler is off, i can imagine us going for the hacan calhanoglu fella for the playmaking left wing role to compete with santi
Sign the other wonderkid from Schalke then. Max Meyer.

Don't agree with this in Draxler's case, looks like they're lining up a Ribery replacement to me. It's smart to have one lined up and ready to go for when he starts to slow down, he's 30 and is bound to decline in the next 2 seasons.
Draxler to replace Ribery, Shaqiri to replace Robben. Nothing disgusting about it, it's just good squad management. Their replacements will be already integrated in the squad and ready to go once the inevitable decline occurs.
Gone off him now that I've seen Campbell's progress. Here's to another good performance tonight.
Campbell plays on the right wing and the Greek league is pretty awful. Not only that but they are completely different players.
IMO Campbell will be let go, I don't think he has a future here. Think he would of been recalled this season if Wenger thought he did.

Not the worst policy in the world! They'll always look to buy up the best German talent and with them by far being the most powerful & richest club in Germany they will abuse that position.
Not sure we could have recalled Campbell this year due to visa constraints

Iirc he got his work permit like a week after being sent on loan.
Yeah, but we didn't know that at the time.
Campbell needs another year in the wilderness. Not at all going to improve us right now

Bayern saying they won't try to sign Draxler this summer.
He'll probably end up here then. Will Wenger try to turn him into a striker or will he be our option on the left?
Fjortoft saying our interest is gone which is good IMO, doesn't fit a need for us and he doesn't represent value for money. What does Fjortoft know but it seems like our interest has cooled.
Well it's march. Let's see in the summer. But yes i also think we'll prefer other more experienced players.
Don't want him, don't think he's what we need.
I think he's a phenomenal talent, but I am also wondering if I want us to spend our money on another AM who is not super direct. He could end up being a Jovetic-type striker, but we don't have the luxury of time. Get a bang-them-in striker and a brutal midfielder first. Then we can talk about Draxler, Reus etc. I'd even prioritise the latter as he's more ready-to-use
The worry for anyone strongly anti Wenger is that if we sign draxler. There's no point changing manager, no other manager will know what to do with the squad.
Seen on twitter his agent is saying he will stay at Schalke next season, been reading he has had a poor season so far.
he hasnt been great since returning from injury. glad we didnt blow 40m on him in jan, dont think he'd have made a difference this season. still a super talent.
