Barca have done their part too, and Chelsea wrecked it on their own before that. If karma were a real thing those people would be reborn as dung beetles.
Spurs are doing their part to wreck it too but they're doing it in a Rex type way
They're idiots, but Real Madrid are the only reason they can spend that much money on bang average players.
Some German paper going with the Bayern rumours again
That's Bild's sport supplement. Trust them to know what's brewing inside Bayern. They have sources at the highest level within the club.
If this Bayern interest is true I wonder their reasons. Are we forcing them to bring their plans forward because they seem quite well stocked up in attacking positions or has this always been the plan
If true then if we want him release clause has to be activated, Bayern probably won't hesitate to activate it because Schalke might want him to go abroad over Bayern. Their fans weren't too happy with Neuer joining them and from what I remember some hardcore Bayern fans weren't too happy for a Schalke player to join!
Neuer was a special case though. He grew up as a Schalke ultra. When he switched clubs the ultras at Bayern grew concerned about a player who would sell out his own people that way. If he could do it to Schalke where he grew up and had generations of his family in the stands then why couldn't he do it to Bayern? They even made him agree to certain rules before he signed, such as not celebrating with the rest of the team on the pitch.
Thanks for clearing that up, remember reading this story ages ago so didn't know the fine details. That is some proper messed up shit by the Bayern fans though, unlike fans players usually are quite professional about these things and don't let allegiances to other clubs affect their performance. Though I understand their point about him not walking out on the club and not showing loyalty.
I think it's the fact that he was both a fan and a player. And not just any fan either. The ultra culture is obsessed with its own image as hardcore supporters. They would never dream of switching allegiances and cheer for another team so naturally they didn't want to be insulted by Neuer pretending that Bayern was anything more than a professional job. They just made it clear to him right away that he would never be one of them. It's a bit silly to be honest but Neuer had it coming. Draxler is not a Schalke ultra so he won't have that problem.
Klaus Gattuso's gone grey!
So its confirmed we bid €30m for him. Wonder if Schalke if able to get more than that in the summer?

how is that a confirmation?
this is a flawless chain:
Coming from RP in Germany via AS in Spain and Sport Witness in England, the London club bid €30m for Draxler but they wanted more.
"He confirmed the offer from Arsenal and AS put that at €30m."
so the GM confirmed an offer from Arsenal and AS (spanish bullshit paper) put that offer at €30m

Re: Draxler I understand Bayern will try to make a deal with Schalke where they pay part of fee now, but Draxler will come to Bayern 2015
@JanAageFjortoft
Draxler I have been told that Arsenal felt they "lost" player when Bayern entered the stage. But I understand player hasn't decided yet
If this is true then it might come down to what the player wants but also if we are willing to match Bayern's offer or activate his release clause.
While Draxler was the more long term option the best option right now for our left side is without a doubt Reus, Draxler will take work but he won't. Doubt Dortmund will sell unless a silly offer comes in so a bit of a pipe dream than anything else.
This is ridiculous. Bayern's strategy is basically buy anyone good in the Bundesliga. Who's next!?
Bayern are disgusting. Not that I'm particularly desperate to get Draxler, but they have no need for him at all. Just buying and weakening those around them for the sake of it.
Meh, he has potential but there are so many options out there
Arda Turan would be good to go for
Arda is a good player, but not the type I think we need.
No point signing the Arda bracket players. We need players who take us to the next level.
When he's on his game Turan is brilliant.
