To be honest, at this point I'm looking forward to laughing about Van Persie playing Thursday nights against FC Metalist next season.

I have to disagree (about the influence of a course of action), the zeitgeist will sweep aside Kim Jong un and Tony Abbott just as it swept Saddam Hussain and G W Bush.
Courses of action are irrelevant in the face of the unstoppable match of dispersion of the technology of communication.

But I'm also looking forward to seeing Van Persie persue his ambition of winning the Europa league.

Acknowledging something akin to "the unstoppable march of the effects of changing technology on forces of production and the formation of social groups" is pretty much the essence of historical materialism, but this is off topic.

Except that players have shown they somewhat dislike the guy. Theo updated his autobio with that damning bit on Robin, Ramsey and Kosh both appear not to like him. He left thinking his team mates are not good enough for him.
