He's short, no pace, no power good feet and is a one in five goal scorer. And he's 26 next month. Santi is still the better player.
When we spend big we need a player who takes the team up a level.

Balotelli or Benzema are reasonable targets. Balotelli AND Benzema, and we solve our striker crisis for the next 5 years.

It's just a stereotype. How many Italian top players have ever moved to Premier League? I can't think of anyone. Rather, it's the fact that they don't tend to move abroad that is keeping the statistics down. A decade ago everyone was saying the same thing about Spanish players.

Yeah, more or less. Have a look at their loan and co-ownership list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juventus_FC#Loan_List

They're doing what Chelsea are doing in Premier League right now, only they stick to Italian-born players for the most part. They own both strikers at Sassuolo too, and 3 of the 4 most promising young Italian goalkeepers (and they're rumoured to be after Udinese's 17 year old wonderkid Simone Scuffet who looks like the next Buffon). It should be illegal.

He isn't going to get involved in any build up though is he? Proper penalty box players by the looks of it.
