I think it is a bit of waste playing Ramsey there tbh. Starting closer to goal means that his runs into the box are easier to pick up.

He can, but you miss a lot of his strong points by playing him there IMO.

i wonder sometimes if ozil could be our pires out wide. he gets more space and time out there, away from the physicality of a premier league engine room. and he instinctually makes runs when he sees the opportunity. he can also drift inside and playmake. if he had someone like shaw on the overlap, they could dominate that left side.

Walcott should never be an assumed starter due to his injury woes. Get a good goal scoring RF to compete with him in the callejon/tello/pedro mould.

Last year we needed 2 WC players - Striker & DM
Wenger failed to get them
This year we need 4 (add a Winger & RB replacement) minimum

Wenger will never do this, he will never complete a squad, thats why he is the first who needs to be replaced.

He can, but why would you want to? His long runs is a huge asset. He is, imo, on course to become arguably the best and most complete central midfielder in the world.

I agree, although we haven't seen too much of Chamberlain on the left.

I'd like Wenger to have us be able to play a City-style 4-4-2, at least as a plan B or something - Ozil and Chamberlain on the wings, one of Podolski/Walcott to pair a new CF.

There is no way I'd push Ramsey into the number 10 slot. He's the best pure midfielder in the league. We've missed him as much defensively as offensively. You play your best player in his best position and build around it. Not to mention our record signing and hopefully a player who will become one of our best next season already plays as a number 10. In our midfield and attack Ramsey, Ozil and Theo are the only definite starters for next season and their positions are all pretty easy to choose right now.

Just saying Ramsey would be immense there. He has a presence near goal now so why not ensure he's as close to it as we can get him
