Maybe, but why would Maddison push for a move to Chelsea? He's playing with better players and under a better mamager at Leicester.

Chelsea are a bigger club though. They have a lot more money and pedigree. Even last season when they were trash they won the Europa League. They always win the league every few years too.

Isak and Phillips are players I like too. The latter was superb a few weeks back at the Emriates; I was looking forward to watching him over 90 minutes and he didn't disappoint.

Not seen much of Ferran Torres, will have to try and watch him. Aouar is very talented, I'm not sure we have room for both him and Guendouzi though? Haidara I haven't paid enough attention to when I've watched Leipzig.

Upamecano and Partey I didn't include for the same reasons I didn't add Perreira, Ndidi and Maddison to the list: I'm not sure I see us moving in those circles this summer. But hopefully we can somehow get back into the Champions League and open up a lot more possibilities.

Torres is fantastic. He’s not necessarily in a high-need position as he plays across the frontline, with an emphasis on the right wing. Out on the right, he’s great. He beats his men and sends in a variety of crosses. Also cuts in and shoots with his left. He’s already a fixture at age 19 on the Valencia squad and has a €100m release clause- although he can probably be bought for less. I do wonder if he can develop like Silva and also play an inside right role. He’s potentially been out on the wing due to his age so far.

On Upamecano and Partey. We need an ultimate solution in some of these positions. Once we shift Lacazette, we need the best money can buy. Imagine a decade of Upamecano and Saliba with Luiz to ease them in.

Personally I'm hoping that Mari will prove to be good enough to play alongside Saliba next season. Would be very happy with him, Chambers, Holding and Saliba on our books. Maybe keep Luiz for another year since Chambers is out for most of 2019, but our defensive options aren't half bad going forward.

On Isak, it's too late to get him now. We should have gone for him when he signed for Real Sociedad. He's not going to a big club to sit on the bench again. The next time he moves he'll move to be their marquee signing.

I also think we owe it to ourselves to give a chance to our own attacking products. We have serious prospects coming through. I think Eddie and Gabi are in for big seasons in 20/21. They're already better than Pepé and Lacazette for my money and will improve further if we give them games. The key is to keep Auba for another year while we bring them through.

I pray that Mari’s long and wondrous journey to Arsenal has given us a winner. We have 4 months to figure out if he’s the guy. He’s a monster of a man, so that’s exciting

If we sell Lacazette and Ozil, we need to bring in at least one more ready attacker. There will still be plenty of opportunity for all the others. You know I’m already convinced that Martinelli is the future of the club, so I’m not at all stressed about him. It’s Nketiah and Nelson who need to show me what they got over the next 2-3 years.

And seeing Doucoure motoring through the Brighton defense today to go from the halfway line to the top of the box and unleash a thunderbolt was perfect. I’m loving his growth this season.

Yeah if Partey proves too expensive Doucoure is not too inferior an option.

Like Klaus, I also hope Mari comes good and is a revelation so we can have enough to get more marquee players in attacking midfield. We are severely lacking in both quality and penetration going forward this season.

Midfield is a cluster. I love that Arteta coached the defense so it was 30% less leaky overnight, but midfield will need players

Upamecano hasn't looked good since returning from injury. We should reassess in the summer and look to other targets.

Players I would like to us take a serious look at in the summer.

Luis Alberto (Lazio) - We are in serious need of creativity in our midfield. Alberto has been consistently good in terms of creating goalscoring chances for last few years.

Wissam Ben Yedder (Monaco) - He is single handedly keeping a shit Monaco side afloat (performing on par with Mbappe and Neymar so far this season imho).

Chimy Avila (Osasuna) - A forward with serious amount of hustle and talent. Kind of a budget Suarez.

Yousuf Atal (Nice) - Swashbuckling right back who offers a serious attacking threat. Not too bad defensively either.

I wish listed Avila before, he's really interesting. Same with Atal

The other two are probably too old given the structure of our squad
