Europa league wishlist: Fraser, Duffy, Tierney and Gundogan. Get rid of Xhaka, Mustafi, Ozil, Monreal, Elneny, and Lichtsteiner. Fill the rest with kids. We'd probably finish outside top 4, but our wage bill would at least be more fitting.

Ismael Bennacer is close to Napoli according to reports in Italy. Empoli want €10 million for him (which is nothing) but Napoli are trying to convert some of it into performance-related bonuses.

Bennacer briefly passed through our reserve team, and we still have a first refusal option according to some people. I'd like us to use it. Bloke's a proper baller who has not just survived but thrived in a tactical environment in Serie A. I'm sure we can ship Elneny for a similar fee this summer and bring Bennacer back without it really costing us anything.

detonate the first team almost entirely. sell just about everyone over the age of 23 for the best fee you can get
keep auba, sell lacazette, switch to 4-3-3
fully cleanse the wage bill
make a commitment to youth, to buying young players and trying to forge an identity as a team

Not sure Gundogan would join us without CL football.

Can add the likes of Aribo from Charlton, Nkunku, Traore (apparently wants playing time from Lyon or he'll look to move), Gomes, Hermoso, Trossard, Claude-Maurice, Palacios, Praet, Anderson, Saliba, Shubert, Ziyech, Neres, Bergwijn = basically any player valued/available under 25m.

Agreed - haven't seen him other than the usual youtube highlights package, but what little I've read seems good and I bow to your and Jones' knowledge of players on the continent.

Read that Malcom may be available for around 35m, but even at that price he'd be out of our price considering the number of players we need to rebuild with.
