Remy would be fine, I think that so long as we get some dynamism up front and some physicality in midfield we'll be grand.

True. Remy, Lovren, Matuidi, Schneiderlin etc would all be disappointing signings, unless we also bring in a top class striker.

That made me sad.. Even though we had our best summer ever and added Mangala, Shaw, Bender and Draxler, we would be inferiour to the invincibles in most areas. Koscielny and Sagna are the only ones who are equal/better.

There's too much pessimism around here. Wenger did well last summer, had some bad luck with Suarez and some good luck with Ozil but in the end he brought in a top-tier player for £42 million. The rhetoric from Gazidis about our financial situation totally changed last summer and then we went out and spent money. We will spend money again. One top player (ST) + one contributing player (CM) + replacements for departures (only backup GK hopefully but maybe RB too) and we are in excellent shape. Wenger could end up failing, you never know, but this is clearly a new financial era for us and he has as good an eye for a player as anybody. Give him a chance.

Balotelli, Schneiderlin, Klopp is the minimum we should aim for.
However, to be competitive, we should set aside £90m and go for Costa, Pogba and Klopp. Our spine needs to be fixed. As usual

NO he wouldn't. He'd be fine to replace Giroud as our back-up. When will people realize that these are not the players who win you league titles?

People turning up Higuain to want nutcases who are less prolific than Giroud and ok-ish players like Remy. People think of Higuain as a pure poacher. A pure poacher doesn't get 83 assists in his career at 26.

That nutcase is incredibly talented and far superior to Giroud. Problem is he's. High beta player. But his transfer fee wil reflect that.

Remy would be fine as a backup option, and he's comfortable playing out wide too. Would not mind him at all.

He's proven that he can score goals in England too.

Like I said ideally I'd snap up Remy instantly as backup and get rid of Giroud. With the release clause we might even make some profit out of this.
