We've been lucky injury wise buts it's only s matter of time until one of them misses half a season the other plays every game breaks down and were back to one for the rest of the season.

A centre back and a left wing-back are what I want most.
I kinda want Upamecano because it's a super cool name, but I don't know if he's actually that good.
Some players you can just look at their name and think yeah he's a good player.

I've never seen him play but I want him, too.

It’d probably do us well to raid premiership clubs to give us dependable attitude and physicality
Dunk, Dacoure, Ndidi, Diop, arnautovic would be great pick ups

Don't think we will have the budget to play in that space for so many players, and less so if we don't have CL football to offer.

IMO as much as we may need to upgrade at CB & LB, the cold truth is that at least we have players in those areas, whereas we lack any genuine wide men. IMO that is what has hampered us as much as anything this calendar year if not more so than anything else.

Clear salary space and invest. Pool didn’t have Champions League.

Not sure anyone is going to pay Suarez & Coutinho type fees for any of our lot with the wages they are on, but agreed in principle.
Not so much a Wish List but more so a point of interest - talk today that St-Maxim is attracting interest from MIlan - would be p*ssed if he went and we didn't make any effort.

I think Emery wants the wing backs to be the wide men.

IMO that's only because we lack genuine wide options as wingers or wide forwards = it's a compromise based upon our available resources. The litmus test will be our transfer targets for the summer, as a genuine winger/wide forward means a change of shape.
Anzac does have a point. Emery has never played 3ATB before he came here, think it's mostly forced on him given the tragic state of our defence.
4231 has always been his go to. He adopted 3ATB most likely because the players were familiar with it from wengers last few seasons, and obviously because of our poor defense

Is it the defenders or the midfield/wingers that are creating the 3ATB issues?

All of them. If you had to choose one I reckon it's the defence that worries Emery most
