Guendouzi is the obvious candidate to be a longer term replacement for Rambo in midfield and AM-N has shown ability, whilst Chambers has been mainly playing in midfield this season next to Seri & is their 2nd highest rated player.

Wonder if we can nick a CB off Barcelona - given that they have Umtiti, Pique, Lenglet, signed Todibo for the summer and look like they will end up with De Ligt. Surely they can't all play at CB. Lenglet would be my pick (primarily because of Umtiti's injury record).

Have to say seeing Wan Bissaka's name constantly pop up is a little puzzling to me. For a team that has limited funds it seems like a monumental misapplication of resources.

Yeah, but I would rather spend on a RB than LB in terms of priority for the club to be honest even with the emergence of Niles. Your general point is correct though, it is probably only after we get a winger, CM and CB that we can afford to splash on a RB.

That said, he really is one of the most impressive young fullbacks in the league.

100% this. We've one of the best right backs in the league, we need to pick up cheap back up for him not one of the other best right backs in the league.

Good time to upgrade on bellers. Hes aging terribly, how anyone loses ther pace at his age is beyond me. It's time to sell if we can and get a monster RB in. Even at his peak bellers has always been a complete horror show in the CL. The ACL will steal another chunk of pace off him. I'm sure he could come back and do a decent job but I think it's time to forward plan depending on where they see AMN future position.

I think those are great points Speedy. I agree that now would be the ideal time to find a replacement for Bellerin, rather than a year down the line when he has put in an underwhelming season due to the ACL robbing him of whatever pace that is left. If we can get Ben Wissaka for a decent fee we need to do it. I think he's a bit Sagna-esque. Incredibly good for his age too.

Maybe we could use Chambers as payment. I'd rather keep him to be honest, but we only have so much cash to play with, and he would be very easy to move for £20-25 million without us missing a beat. He's not even at the club right now. Selling him would cost nothing and have a big potential gain.

He is such a horrible defender that he can hardly get a game in defense for the worst defense in the league. I am baffled by how optimistic people are that we could sell him to a Premier League club for real money. The greater fool theory can only go so far.

It's not really a matter of whether you rate him or not. He is 24 years old, homegrown, and has over 100 league games under his belt, including two full seasons as a starter. Nathan Ake who is half as talented and had a third of the experience joined Bournemouth last season for £20 million. Any midsized club will get a decade of football out of Chambers and he can cover multiple positions. He hits a number of sweetspots for everyone who's more concerned about quantity than sheer quality.

Yeah, I completely disagree with this assessment. Nathan Ake is a decent Premier League player. I sincerely don't think Chambers is anything more than an average Championship player. Hopefully there's some PL decision maker who thinks like you, but I'm not convinced it's inevitable. Maybe Brexit will assist in this.

Chambers has won MotM for Fulham on a number of occasions fwiw, albeit since moving to midfield. I think a couple of those were against Chelsea too.

There were a couple of big offers for him a couple of seasons ago too in the region of 18m

Visited a Fulham forum and most of them have nothing but good things to say about Chambers. He's easily been one of their best players and whilst that's not saying much it is still worth at least £20m considering his profile of being young and English.

Questions of his worth aside for a moment, his time at Fulham makes any future for him here extremely unlikely. He's not coming back here to play in midfield. I think it would be foolish to now move someone who has gained so much experience in a defined position and played so well at times.

I'd love to take a punt on Suleymanov from Krasnodar. Terrific ball control and dribbling, not the fastest winger but has some burst on him and loves to cut in and score in the far corner. This was vs Valencia last week

Might not be as fast as Robben but unlike him he has a right foot for more than getting on the bus. Just 19 years old too

Nah, if we want a Robben copycat we should go for Samuel Chukwueze.

Anyway, I really like what I have seen of Jovic. He plays like a young Aguero. Frankfurt got the deal of the century really, Benfica was outright stupid.
