The point is that I don't think that all three of those names would have popped out as must-haves a few years ago. Yet here they are, core components of one of the most effective frontlines in England. They are not necessarily the best at what they do. None would make it into the City team, for example, but they are very effective together with their coaching.
I wonder to what extent we as fans deceive ourselves into thinking it all needs to be Dembele and Under super quality players in order to work. If the manager knows what he is doing, can't just bringing in the right set of moderately high quality players do the trick?
