Nzonzi is a great two-way midfielder in a midfield that has none of those. You need one to play a 4-2-3-1 since it puts immense pressure on the two in midfield to both link the play as well as keep the centre solid. My first choice would be Tielemans / Ndombele / Tousart but if not, Nzonzi can do the job. Edit: Ramsey can do the job if he wanted to but I suspect he is far too busy goalhanging.

We need a sexy young winger who will bring pace, trickery and goals. Bailey or Pavon.

Emery had Neymar, Di Maria, Vitolo, Joaquin, etc. Will surely want someone of a similar ilk here.

Assuming we play 4-2-3-1 under Emery, my wishlist would be GK (Perrin / Neto / Nicolas), CB (Manolas, Diallo/Tah), LB (Plattenhardt / Max / Hector), CM (Ndombele / Tielemans / Tousart), WF (Malcom / Bailey). Outs (apart from retired players) would be Welbeck, Ospina, Mustafi.

Feels like a somewhat porous CM combination, but hopefully Emery can make up for it with his coaching.

I wonder if Emery will be tempted to revisit Krychowiak.
He obviously went well with him at Sevilla and he was his first signing at PSG.
Unfortunately from reading some of the stories about PSG & player power cliques it may well be that Krychowiak was the trigger of that power struggle that Emery eventually lost when Krychowiak was sent out on loan.
I think it would be a smart move to look to sign someone who already has experience under Emery and can help the team transition - much like AW did when he started, and more so if it's in the crucial midfield / defensive roles.

Talk that PSG may have to let a few go due to FFP, rumours around today they may get fined by UEFA.

Valencia supposedly have offered 40m Euros for Guedes but PSG want double that. He's a real big talent, someone to look out for. He's been very good for Valencia this season.

I'd make Ndombele a priority this summer. The guy looks as close to a complete midfielder as you could get. Strong, fast, good technique, incisive passing, full of trickery, good engine and seems pretty comfortable with the defensive work in making interceptions and pressing.

Shame Lyon had him for the whole year and are poised to sign him.

I love Nzonzi but I would look for younger players definitely. Ndombele looks to be out of our reach as Lyon is signing him on a permanent deal this summer.

Fred would be absolutely perfect for us but United is signing him for 44m. I wish we can blow everything on Milinko-Savic or Aouar, then get a flair player like Mahrez since Fekir is pretty much gone.

Then I remember we have an absolutely terrible keeper and central defender. Argh

He's a big talent especially physically, incredibly fast for his size and physically very strong, good in duels and tackles. Very big fluctuations in form though and not too impressive on the ball, also often poor concentration/tactically he still runs around the pitch like a headless chicken at times. He's one to watch as he's still young but talent wise I don't think he gets close to Ndombele.

Based on rumours and a smidge of realism amongst wishing I’d go for:-

Dembele as a marquee signing - get him and Auba together again

Diallo - looks a top talent

Pellegrini - classy ball playing midfielder

Then turn to acceptable upgrades

Rico in goal
Sokratis for a year or two
