20 starts and 7 sub appearances for a kid is more than enough to be noticed. I fully believe his impact was discounted by the media perception that we are a circus. There are certain types of articles reserved for Arsenal.
I’ll give you another example. Take Oxlade Chamberlain. I watched a lot of Ox this season. I saw nothing markedly different from what he offered last season. He had some very good games for us last year, and this is exactly what he offered for Liverpool, except he was able to do so in his favored position. However, the media packaged this with Liverpool’s buoyancy and branded Ox a man reborn when really there is very little different there.
Speaking of Ox, I feel already that AMN has the higher ceiling. But he’s presently written into the wrong narrative
