Aubameyang is 28. He's still got 3 or 4 top years in him, for sure.

I like Werner a lot, though he would cost a lot, would people rather Werner or Martial? That is the cost bracket I see Werner going for.

Martinez does look interesting, but I would give a Nketiah the chance. We need to see what we have, and with Lacazette and Aubameyang, I am confident in giving him the chance.

If I had to buy one young striker, it would be Martial.

I agree - didn't put Martial in because I don't see us being able to get him. He'd be top of that list if he was on the market - suspect he'll stay at Y***ted. Agree on Nketiah, but as I said above, I think we need 2 young strikers to have a good chance of 1 making it in the next 3 yrs. Do folks think Dembele is technically not good enough to play for a top team? Haven't seen much discussion of him on this forum in a while.

Martial is more available than most of the others on that list seeing how's he handed in a transfer request. I like Martinez a lot but he's signed for Inter. Werner would be the best fit out of those but he'll cost a leg, bit of a prick but he'd be a dead certain success for us I reckon.

Don't see us signing any of those guys as they're already too expensive and we have big money players in their positions. I'd throw like 30m at Eintracht Frankfurt for Luka Jovic although not before 2019 as that's the first chance to get him when they activate their buy option from Benfica - he's called the Serbian Falcao and for once that's an adequate nickname for an upcoming talent.

I think we need a marque signing in addition to solid defenders this summer to help galvanise the club

I think our marquee signings should all be in defense, and I suspect you will get good value in Serie A. Do not all have to be the very biggest names, but some of them should be the very best. Just solve the spine for the next five years with something like

Goalie: Alisson or Perin
CB: Koulibaly, de Vrij (if he hasn’t signed Inter), Caldara (if can prise him from Juve)
CM: Milinkovic-Savin is a game-changer. Veretout can either play as DM next to Xhaka or go forward and replace Ramsey’s goals as needed.

Veretout flopped in england with Villa. Perin is average like hell.

I’d really like Perrin here - had wishlisted him a year or two ago. No way we are getting SMS - I’d look to get Tielemans or Tousart instead.

Yeah. Perin’s a guy whose career bras been slowed by injuries. Very good shot stopper. He’s not as good as Oblak or Alisson but he’s a great reliable option who would be an upgrade on both the guys we have. Good shout on Tousart. SMS is the kind of guy we can get if we are first in with the £60-80m bid and acting seriously. But then we close off this despicable midfield discussion. Hey

We need a couple of new central midfielders. Xhaka is too slow to anchor the midfield, and we lack movement and creativity there as well. A proper anchor and someone like Cazorla would be perfect.

Someone to fill out the Ozil, Auba, Mhki quartet would be good. A goal scoring winger. The Wenger leaving press conference Gazidis talked about wanting us to be entertaining didn't he? Time to put their money where their mouth is.

I think Lacazette might end up being that goalscoring winger next season. Ideally we'd find a dangerous wide player in his mid-20s, but looking at the massive do-over our defence and midfield are in need of you feel that perhaps we'll have to be content with the attack for now. We've just spent £120 million or so on strikers.

Was his deal loan to buy or could the new manager take him back to Arsenal if he wanted? If we were going to go with 2 up top he'd be an interesting back up.
