I wouldn't mind Morata if he is going to compliment another top class striker but if Balague ‏is saying this deal will happen then you can be sure there is nothing to it....

My preference is for a midfielder like Khedira but if Marco Reus is available then we need to do what it takes to get him. Destroyed Zenit last night. And did it from the right wing too which is important as his ability to play both sides would be ideal.

He's the type of player you could play on the left with someone like Theo on the right or he could play on the right with someone like Cazorla on the left and he can adapt his game to give the right balance to the attack in either scenario.

I'm not overly keen on signing a wide player as i think Theo/Wilshere/Gnabry Ozil/Rosicky and Chamberlain/Cazorla is more than good enough for the 3 spots behind the striker but if someone like Reus is possible we should go for it even if it means taking a risk with midfield (probably relying on Wilshere stepping up a level)

Because they're refusing to let him go?

The moment it became genuinely apparent a club were willing to shoot itself in the foot and pay tax over the odds to get past a clause, there would be a game of "who blinks first" negotiating a fee somewhere between $release_clause (paid direct to selling club) and $release_clause_plus_tax (paid to player as intermediary) …

I'm thinking they might demand _£40m because that would still be cheaper than paying the clause + tax.

Atletico won't be receiving any tax, so i'm assuming Atletico would receive 32m, so why not just bid 31m with incentives to 35m with the understanding as a transfer fee rather than a clause buyout and see if they budge.

Playing on our wings is entirely different from playing on utd wings and crossing constantly. You can ask our previous attacking mids on the wings. Hleb Nasri all excelled there. Kagawa would be better for us than Cazorla if he plays to his potential. If he is available we must go for him, unless there are better players like Reus.

Kagawa is an excellent player but he'd be yet another midget who doesn't score enough goals. He has better goal scoring potential than an Ozil, Wilshere or Rosicky, but we need true goal scorers. This is why I have come to accept Walcott. Guys like Reus can come in and offer that threat. A Willian would have been great here

I think Kagawa could score as much as Pires did under the right circumstances. Might not be the best move for him personally at the moment though. United have broken him and he needs to get back to his old self before he adapts to a new role.

I think Kagawa could excel at Arsenal but don't see any room for him. He is Rosicky with consistent execution basically. High tempo, speed, pass and move football at its best.

Kagawa has been a massive flop at United and I can't believe some people still think he's top drawer despite his shitty performances in England. A player like Ji sung Park was a much better and more efficient player for them which says a lot. No way in a million years would he score 15 goals in the PL for us on the flanks like Pires did.

Or maybe they judge a player based on what he's got in his locker rather than how he is being used by his manager. Bergkamp was a terrible flop in Italy during the 90s, back when Serie A was significantly stronger than Premier League. Does that mean he couldn't cut it as a footballer at that level?
