This is assuming Vermaelen would want to leave of course. We don't have a centreback issue if he stays.

Just pick up Lovren or sumthing. Coloccini maybe? Plenty of good, reliable centrebacks around.

there was some crap in the daily heil about van persie wanting to come back. undoubtedly a false rumour, but for the sake of discussion, if moyes would sell him back to us for 10m (or thereabouts, given his age), would you do it if no better alternative arises?

i'd do it in a heartbeat.

I'd do it if he took a significant pay cut, got rid of his PL medal with United, and issued a proper apology to the fans. Would also like Wenger to sign Diego Costa and stick RVP on the bench.

Absolute cunt, but memories grow shorter when victories come think and fast.

Definitely not "in a heartbeat", but it would be tempting to take him for a couple of years for £10m and £175k/w if he became available.

Even though he's slowing down if he stayed fit next season he could win us the league.

Doesn't matter anyway, won't happen.
