Sure, he struggled in the first 25 minutes, but they all did. What he faced in the second half is the same as we face most weeks in the League anyway. I reckon he'd be great for us alongside Aaron. Like Armor says, he'll likely find an agreement with Bayern anyway.

And, yep, you'd have to think Podolski will be off as well.

I think we should be looking at Shaw if the other big boys make their move this summer too. We have Gibbs and Monreal, but, whilst the former is an excellent player when fit and firing, he's constantly breaking down and the latter is not good enough. We ll kick ourselves if we let Shaw go to City, Chelsea or United without making a move. He'll be a top left back.

Shaw is already commanding a top, top fee and is a boyhood Chelsea fan. No chance.

Who knows? I couldn't see him paying £42.5m for Ozil (or anyone) 6 months ago. Times change. If Wenger believes Shaw's THAT good then he'd pay good money for him. Might not be what City or Chelsea are willing to pay but we'll see.

Mmm, i dont know mate. I always saw him paying £40m for an exquisite attacking player (he tried for Hazard & Götze earlier), but can never really see him break the bank for defenders.

Kroos or Martinez are the players from Bayern I'd be interested in that there might be a realistic chance they are willing to sell. Mandzukic at a stretch.
Kroos would be an absolute dream. He is a complete midfielder, probably at his best in the number 10 position, but he is really everything we could possibly want Ramsey to turn into. I say that, because he is a LOT better than Ramsey defensively, and certainly on par offensively.
He has played the deeper role quite a bit for Bayern btw. He did so last season for quite a long stretch when Schweinsteiger was out injured, and he was superb.

He's a full back. We're not City/Chelsea in transfer terms. It ain't happening. And honestly he's over valued.

FFS slow down lad. No chance, you're really overrating Kroos here. Lad literally didn't have a kick at XI v XI.

Don't get the sudden interest in kroos, he was always highly rated. Kroos has better technique and shooting but Ramsey is all round a better player no doubt. I woudn't worry if UTD or someone got Kroos. We need a proper CM/DM and a goal scoring forward like Reus/Greizmann/Sharaawy

Rumour that United would be willing to offer up to 250,000 pounds a week to snag Kroos. That's 3x his salary. I'm sure he'd settle for half of the rumoured amount.

Would be a massive problem if United got Kroos and Gundogan in one summer. Would leave them in need of maybe one or 2 defenders to have a title contending squad.

They're going to have massive problems of their own if they start handing out 250k/w contracts willy-nilly.

3 players on 250 000 instead of 150 000 per week equates to 15m pounds more in salaries. United can afford that.

Ok, revise that to "problems" rather than massive problems. That sort of wage seems excessive for a player of that calibre.

But if that turns out to be market rate for Kroosesque players we'll gradually lose most of our current crop of youngsters.
