I don't know if I'm the only one who likes him but I rate the hell out of this guy. I've seen plenty of him in that deeper midfield role this season and I'm convinced he's an even better option there than the likes of Gündogan. Juve look unbeatable with him running their midfield. He didn't get much attention from the commentators, but I thought he was magnificent again yesterday. It's unlikely that he'll leave since Pirlo is getting old and Pogba will probably make a move in the next two years, but who knows. The rumours have been around for a while now. The guy is a class act.

He is class. Think a fully fit and firing Gundogan can have a greater impact on games though.

I am gonna root for Juve to win the UCL obviously, but I must say they are pretty lucky. They haven't looked special at all yet reached the final.

That said, I will raid them for Pogba.

They've looked like they belong there to me. Nothing lucky about beating Real Madrid. We certainly wouldn't have done it.

Absolutely. They were excellent in the first leg v Real and beat Dortmund without any fuss. If we played Real the tie would probably be over after 45 minutes.

Agreed, saw some of their games in the group stages, didn't look convincing pre Dortmund. They were actually very lucky to win against Dortmund in Turin, looked second best that night. Probably got lucky Dortmund lost form shortly after that.

I think we had the talents to make the final this season but fucked it up big time (as we always do in Europe). Big opportunity missed IMO.

Definitely. On current form, we will definitely give a match to Madrid who is as poor as they looked at any time in the Ancelotti's reign. The way they play suit us to the core perfectly. So open defensively.

However, we will lose to Barca again in the final. Nobody is winning the UCL other than them this season.

The real problem, of course, is that we're only playing well for like three months per season. Juve could do it when it counted. We couldn't. There's no need to overanalyse this by moving theoretical goalposts around; we're simply not good enough to be in the final.

Juve currently has a much better midfield and defense than we have. Their midfield and defense are tactically on another level compared to us.

You could say the same about their attack. Özil is probably the only player we have who would get into their team from midfield and up. Sanchez wouldn't displace Carlos Tevez. Giroud would not take that starting spot from Morata on current evidence. Ramsey would probably start over Pogba to be fair, but he'd have to change his game a bit. Kos would get into their defence, maybe Monreal too. That's about it though.

We definitely have the clout to raid them. Don't underestimate the lure of the Premiership and the insane money sloshing about in it. Juve has got where they are with very good management so kudos
