Like the idea, but Santon would be another Diaby with our record. He's averaged ₂₅ appearances a season or something right? I don't mind Gibbs, truth be told - would prefer to get a better RB.

Gibbs is our best full back. I don't see a need to upgrade on him, more a case of upgrading on Monreal to get a decent back up. A left sided Chambers type would be nice.

What does "December ahead of the transfer window" mean? Hope it means that he will get a deal done in December and the player can join in early Jan instead of the usual Jan 31 debacle.

If this was a one off then maybe we could, and should, accept the 'fair enough', but this is a man who has left the squad short for years in various positions. For me, there is certainly nothing even close to 'fair enough' here.

It's not 'fair enough'.

Everyone could see that he was leaving us short in defence. If Kos is crocked for an extended period of time, it's entirely his fault.

Not to mention should we drop points because of having to rely on Monreal at CB...

Edit: Didn't notice Rex's post. Well, yeah, I fully agree with the Humble one on this.

Yes, but in the past he would never accept his mistake. He would say shit like internal solutions, don't block the progress of young players etc.

To basically admit he made a mistake in an AGM, to me he has changed.

Now lets hope he also recognise Diaby is really not the solution in midfield.

Manolas wanted guaranteed playing time, unfortunately.

I'd rather we get a quality defender in January than the 2nd Silvestre in August.

The Manolas wanted playing time thing is complete fabrication by the press. His agent claims that we did not make an offer for him.
