I think the Monreal replacement should also be a Gibbs upgrade, unless we're planning another rmadness somewhere else in the team.

We desperately need a class CM. If we get one I'll be happy at taking our chances with the current crop of CF contenders

I wonder whether Benzema is still in play. No official word on an extension yet (just paper talk) and Falcao rumors aren't going away. I wonder if he's one of those late August possibilities.

Balotelli is seemingly available for basically nothing, we should just take the chance and stick him with the reserves if he behaves badly.

His salary is seemingly the biggest stumbling block. Raiola is his agent too so there will be huge agent fees involved. We're not keen on those.

We should bring him in anyway, but Wenger has made it clear he's not looking for strikers anymore.

Absolutely nobody is interested in meeting his demands. I think he has no idea how his antics have effected his market value.

He'll probably move to somewhere desperate late in the window. Won't be us thats for sure.
