We could really use an El Shaarawy type though. He's got the pace and skill to score those crucial solo goals. He could be our answer to Hazard. Injuries are a concern though:

De Sciglio is really highly rated but I'm not convinced yet. Abate has been around for awhile and apparently he's free in the summer, but he's not good enough to be our first choice.

As for holding midfielders, they've got De Jong and Essien. We know all about those, not good enough for what we require. Montolivo could play there but he's deemed untouchable.

El Shaarawy would be a brilliant signing. He is certainly one of the wide players who roughly offers what Walcott does; he has pace, looks to hurt teams in behind the back 4, and he has end product. He will no doubt cost a bomb though, and he has hardly played all season.

What would be the point? The fans would be pissed off because we didn't get it done in January when we actually fucking needed it, and Giroud will lose confidence knowing that he's going to be demoted to the bench next season.

Yep, this will surely be what Tanc was talking about.

Now how do we feel about Mario show coming to town? Potential is unreal, but i doubt he will ever take football too seriously.
