This is about Arsenal not wanting to spend money and nothing else. Our best player is out and the free squad filler we signed in the summer got himself suspended so we bring in an even worse squad filler on loan just in case. Meanwhile Chelsea and City have each spent somewhere in the region of £30 million to strengthen their midfields.
It's nothing to do with spending money, we've got around 5 or 6 players who can play in centre mid, unfortunately we've got 3 unavailable right now and another two who are not really 100% fit yet. But Wenger has never been one to make a long term signing because of injuries.
Also City haven't signed anyone yet, While as I said earlier, Chelsea have sold two players worth a combined 50m and signed one worth 20m.
