United are in a tailspin because they've fallen from glory, from being the best team in the country. We on the other hand have got very little to lose.

Impossible to predict what happens to this team if Wenger goes.
It'll be his decision if he does leave though.
I thought at the beginning of the season that he'd walk if we failed to win anything, then I thought he was going to sign up again, now given that he's not yet signed a contract I'm back to thinking he'll step down if we don't finish the season with a trophy.

They will appoint such a mug that will make Moyes look like Ferguson.

I really hope Wenger wins something this season.

I'm not scared at all.
I'm at the stage though where I genuinely don't see a simple or neat way forward unless we spend like City and Chelsea in every window.

That's the thing. In a sport with no salary cap or transfer cap, spending the most wins almost all of the time. So Arsenal fans either change their expectations or we spend more. That's why we were so excited in this transitional season. So many teams were going through internal changes or turmoil we thought we could just outlast our big spending rivals just enough to win the title.

If it only comes down to how much you spend, or don't, what does it matter if we have Wenger here. He's shown a desire not to spend, and its hard to argue that he's a tactical genius. He's living on his reputation from a simpler time when the team could spend big and he did have innovative ideas.

I'm firmly in the Wenger out if we don't win anything next season. Think this season has shown we have a team close to competing and a strong summer (better striker) may be all it takes. Be a shame to finally be close and have another hectic summer as a result of Wenger leaving.

Don't think Wenger leaving will be particularly problematic. We have a reasonably settled team and a fairly steady philosophy, so the new manager has a strong platform to come in to. As long as we don't pick a manager whose playing style is completely different from the current one, don't think it will cause too many issues. Our bar isn't particularly high to begin with either, to be honest.

Finish in the top 3 and a FA cup and he can stay on, anything less than that isn't good enough.

I think he will walk in any case. His ego won't allow him to stay after all the criticism even if he wins something.
There is also that bit about him wanting to feel loved and not breaking his contracts. Feel he isn't up for beginning a new chapter with us.
