We've been over this and enumerated a handful of players who could've put in more than Sanogo. Villa and Berbatov both moved for two. And what about the summer? Why was it Suarez or bust?
Every successful Wenger side has had a couple of crafty surplus strikers to chip in. Fans who admire Wenger's successes should look to how he achieved them. It certainly wasn't by not having strikers in the squad, or not being too fussed about racking up wins as we "build confidence for next season" from first place in league.
Ok, I'll admit it. I'm not indifferent, I'm disappointed he's re-signed. Shows a lack of imagination from all parties.
