Arsenal can be great again Rex? Just by going back and doing the same things we used to do? get some great players and just go all free flowing attacking football?
Things have changed immensely. You are aware of that, but Wenger? he cannot look in hidden areas of France anymore. The whole world is now scouted by everybody.
Wenger needs great players in order to play his game. He has no idea how to find them anymore. Some other team there may be manager willingness/backroom/boardroom staff making acquisitions by just PAYING the going rate (as extortionate as that is) to land the players the team needs and then their manager gets to play those players. But not at Arsenal. It is ALL down to Wenger.
If Wenger has not clue how to find GREAT players, and there is nobody else to bring them in (a DD for example) then quite obviously his system cannot work. Since he will not work with any other systems but his own, no matter how that affects the team and the fans, Arsenal must change the manager.
Obviously this will not happen, so we must just wait and watch the same thing for another 3 seasons or so.
One day we he will retire/go/end his contract. That is the only day we will see change.
