I'm at the Christmas stage. It's all I've been able to think about for the last couple of weeks. Annoyingly not going to be able to see the first game forquite a few hours (8am kick off here so recording while at work) but the weekend should be football heaven.

Actually sod recording it and going to work, I'll just come in a bit early and watch it at the pub next door the office. Few other people in the kitchen just now talking about doing that.
What about all the other games when you're at work? They gonna let you watch them?
Going to be a bit tough but luckily most are 4am and 7am so not a problem. It's the 10am ones I'll have to record and try and avoid the result to watch when I get home. If I watch the 8am one tomorrow next door, I'll be at my desk about 9.45 so that should be ok.

I'm organising a sweepstake in the office now. Wasn't going to bother as we are less than 30 people in the organisation and not many football fans so didn't think there would be enough interest, but sent an email around and to the other organisation on our floor and seems there's enough. Will do a prize for winner, runner up and worst goal difference in the group stage (so if you get Australia you still have a chance!).

Might regret saying this but I quite like that the games are later. No chance of clashing with work and gives you something to look forward to at night, or at least have on in the background. I can't sleep early anyway so even the 11pm kick offs are fine. Come on football!
I'm looking forward to this, always fun to have so much football to watch and there's something so special about the World Cup. Can't wait for tonight.
Only tricky bit is how to get away with watching three football a matches a night with the other half? 😆
