It's more about how you'd feel they'd do from now on in assuming they are fit and available
Wot OMITTs doing a draft?
Exactly. How are we supposed to know how well he'd do now? He's never played in the PL before.
People would be picking Soldado if he had been injured the whole season, when in reality he's absolute shit in the PL. Given that Soldado was a proven goalscorer in La Liga and he's performing as he is in this league it's hard to see why picking a relatively unproven player from Serie A is a good idea.
That's down to your opinion of him as a player. Are you against us signing draxler cos he might stink it up?
We all make our picks the way we see them making sense for ourselves. No need to be overly critical of other people's picks.
Personally, I think Jovetic is a good pick. Then again, I rated him prior to his move so I will have that in mind when comparing to other teams.
It is a premierleague draft, not a serie A draft.
It is?! Fuuuu...
Some of you guys are trying to make this far too complicated. It's not. Think of it as literally drafting players from the league to play in the tourny. No one would turn their nose up at having Jovetic in their side. It's a good pick for this stage of the draft.
Decent post there.
I haven't been keeping up with the draft as much as I should and didn't realise just how many strikers had been picked. So I was going to say i'd have picked Remy or Benteke before I went with Jovetic, but that was before I saw they had already gone.
Otf's right, at this stage of the draft, after how many forwards have been chosen I'd say it's a good pick. In the overall scheme of things though, having a player who probably half the forum haven't seen as your striker is a bit of a gamble.
I don't think it's being overly critical either. If we can't talk about people's picks in this thread where can we? It's not the first time and it definitely won't be the last that someone's pick is called into question.
I'd say it's clever if anything. Would def prefer him to an unnamed 'Prem proven' striker who's scored 20 goals in the league in the last 18 months.
Think he's a clever pick simply because he can play at point, in the hole, or on the left wing. It gives Kami great versatility for his next picks.
Either way the reactions to Kami's picks so far don't bode too well for his chances of winning this thing
How will we actually be voting btw? By poll in a separate thread for each "match" I presume?
Oooh, Sandro.
Interesting.
Fuck, I wanted Sandro Was hoping nobody would pick him because he plays for spurs.
Ha, that's a minor detail when it comes to drafting.
Even Adebayor went early.
Thought Kel would drop by to celebrate the signing of Kim Kallstrom and then draft.
hmmm
Just remembered Kel's not Swedish. Maybe he's in a furious sulk?
Kel's always in a furious sulk.
Relax ladies. Just have to check something first.
