He's one of the betters LBs in Europe but not in the top bracket, too weak defensively.
Marcelo is good, not as good as Filipe Luis for me, latter is much better defensively. He'd be first choice for Brasil if Felipao wasn't such a bastard and actually wanted to play good football. His system relies on having as few footballers in the middle of the park as possible and relying on the 'laterals' to advance the ball.
