Mourinho went out to stop him, but overall he managed fine. Didn't get much support from his mates though.

Nope. Only match he was actually 'poor' in was United away and maybe Dortmund home.

We couldn't get the ball to him into areas where he could really influence the game, had to drop deep a lot of time to get a touch of the ball. Mourinho is a specialist at cutting off supply to creative players. How many times have we seen even the likes of Messi struggle against a Mourinho side?

Azpilicueta shut down Walcott which locked down everything but in a vacuum, Ozil was okay.

Only complaint really is that he clearly should've shot when he passed to Walcott in the penalty claim incident. Even if it doesn't go in, maybe Cech has a poor parry in the rain and someone has an easy tap-in, etc.

I'd agree with that and that is something Wenger needs to work on, he needs to be more selfish rather than thinking of the team all the time.

Yeah, that shot is what's lacking in his register right now. He needs to get a better feeling for when he should go for goal himself. It sounds on Wenger like he's trying to sort that out though.

I thought he was tidy today, found some nice angles and rarely does anything wrong. Not a lot going on around him at the moment, BUT probably is fair to say he's capable of more regardless.

Ozil is a vanity project. We needed to sort out the real issue at Cf and have missed the chance this season.

Tidy player and a talent but you have him feeding a donkey up front, what is the point in that?

Fair assessment, Tim.

If all our players would take care of the possession as carefully as he does, it would be much easier for us to find a good rhythm and get our game going. It would also limit the counter-attacking chances we give away.

What is the point of having a great CF if your #10 is Tomas Rosicky? The fact of the matter is that we were in desperate need of both a top class CF and a top class #10 and we did well to get the best #10 possible. This squad isn't complete and more work needs to be done but Ozil pushed the squad much closer to completeness.

Ok it has only been half a season but so far he has been a flop, what 42m player continuously goes missing in big games?
