Asa managed to depress me more on Sat when he reminded a pissed up me that Arsene had signed a new deal in the summer. His stubbornness not only seems to cloud his judgement in the market, but the side he picks too now.
Don't bloody remind me. Still pissed off at how easily his meal ticket was renewed.
Still feel the Koscielny criticism is a bit harsh. However, I do firmly agree that he is not a substitute for Gallas and should not be a first choice. Equally, you'd have to question whether Djourou (and I like him) should be given that spot, which leaves us with Squillaci, who although decent will hardly set the world to right.
But we knew this in the summer after another sterling three months scraping the barrel that it'd be more of the same and until Arsene is prepared to stop being an ass about spending money (no, please not the can of worms!) then we're stuck with sub-standard options.
Don't get me wrong, I think everyone we signed in the summer was good but they're either not ready or not the right fit; they're certainly not top notch.
