Looks like we're after Sebastian Jung, quite a few places reporting that now. Solid RB, not elite and don't think he'll ever be. If signing Jung means Sagna is leaving, Wenger/Gazidis/Law/etc can all do one. If Jung is coming to replace Jenkinson then we're improving the squad quite a bit.

rex/klaus, whats going on in sweden? any good players coming up? this is over-generalising, but i feel like all else being equal, there's less risk there because they already speak english, are used to the weather, etc. if reyes were swedish, he would've been a star.

There's no one coming through as far as I know, unfortunately. The development of Swedish football has been in steady decline for over a decade. Clubs produce players who are good enough for the domestic league and that's it. Most of them don't even hold their own against their Danish and Norwegian counterparts. John Guidetti is probably the biggest talent at the moment and he's been injured for almost a year (due to some kind of nasty virus that attacked his nervous system. He got it from eating a poorly cooked chicken; it threatened to end his career at one point). Simon Thern, the son of former great Jonas Thern, might make it too if he can get out of Allsvenskan in time. But those two are the only ones who look like they will achieve anything at all in Europe. As far as the U20 players go Arsenal probably have the most well-rounded one already in Kristoffer Olsson.

Olsson is seriously scrawny though. Needs to bulk up alot and then he can have a nice career somewhere. Not with us though.

In general I agree with what Klaus is saying. The Sweden under 17 team recently won the bronze in the U17 world cup though, so maybe there is a bit of hope in a few years' time.
