The release clause is just to force a move though; doesn't mean a club can't bid lower than that. The guy has been red hot in La Liga this season, and I think he has 11 or 12 goals to his name already. All from a wide position. That means, that he is certainly a viable option in trying to add goals to the team in place of Walcott.
