Yes. "Evidence" per se is hard to come by even in the most obvious of these cases as well. I wouldn't be comfortable either - it's one of the most heinous things you can be accused of, and it would be an embarrassment if he were found guilty while in our shirt.

Is Balotelli even that good? He seems a luxury player. Someone who will cost so much in transfer fees and wages but will give us little in return in terms of goals.

Balotelli is a talent but also a headcase. He's not a gamble worth taking.

It is more of a gamble to think we will remain at the top of the league with Giroud as our main CF. If Milan are interested in selling at a decent price, under £25m, then it is a no-brainer for me.

I think Balotelli is a better player and, on a personal note, I don't really dislike Balotelli. He is just a bit weird.

This isn't FM Volly and it certainly isn't that straight forward. He is a nutjob and his likely negative impact on the dressing room needs to be carefully balanced against his talent. Especially in the middle of a season when our form is patchy. People always talk about Balotelli's talent and the inevitability of him becoming one of the best forwards in the league when it's equally likely that his attitude and behavioural issues could mean that his potential will never be realised.

Agree with both. My wife works in this area and there normally needs to be a significant amount of evidence for the police to take a sexual assault case to court. Even then, conviction rates are very low...for numerous reasons and often not because the evidence proves innocence. We shouldn't be considering Remy until the case is finished.

Don't know much about Costa to be honest. Isn't he only a bit loco on field rather than off as well? Besides, its just this 'Balotelli just needs the right manager' rhetoric that I find a bit cliched and rose-tinted. For me there have been enough events at several clubs and with various managers that indicate that Balotelli is a much bigger risk than some seem to acknowledge. Does that mean he is a lost cause and will never reach his potential? No, but it does warrant significant caution and may mean that we are better off looking elsewhere.

Costa is a hard man who has his moments but Balotelli is crazy. I find the favor Balotelli gets here baffling. He's scored about 10 league goals that were not penalties the entire year. I think even Giroud edges him in that regard. He is a completely unreliable person on the pitch and off it. Costa is outscoring Messi and Ronaldo. He's taken Atletico to the top of the league. Second season running onto 20 goals while Balotelli has never reached that target.

He plays in Serie A for a selling club managed by a coach that tries to get as many defensive midfielders and defenders into the team as possible.

Atletico are also a selling club and just sold their best player last summer. Whatever way you put it he's scored 10 league goals from open play. He's never scored 20 in a season. There is simply no reason to buy a striker just because he has talent. We need proven performers and this Costa chap has bagged 43 goals in the last 18 months which means he is performing. Balotelli has scored about about 16 from open play during that period. Again that's less than Giroud did in just his first 12 months here let alone the 18 month period. If he was scoring 30 a season I'd have a different opinion but a striker who scores less than Giroud and is a complete nutcase and would cost a lot of money. Doesn't sound very appealing to me.
