He has stagnated in his development. Looked to become a world beater at 18, but he has failed to deliver on that promise. Unfortunately, he isn't the first teenager to go down that route.
Remember when he first went to Milan there manager anchovie said he was completely unplayable in training. Keeping in mind Milan head nesta and maldini at the back that's really something. He also said pato would be the highest goalscorer in Italy next season.
Difficult injuries aside it's not a coincidence that he never shone in Allegri's Milan. There used to be, and still is, such a dearth of creativity. Reliant on physical superiority to the point that the system breaks down completely when they don't have a Ibrahimovic or a Balotelli who can combine the physical nature of their game with a more creative side.

Their manager anchovie? That is an excellent auto correct! 😆
😆
Draxler has been gagging for us for ages: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-transfer-news-julian-draxler-2813902
Hmmm no thanks
Good prospect, but where would he play?
He'd make an excellent CF one day, but we don't have the time to convert him.
I like him a lot but I think he's too expensive for what he offers, even potential wise. We need to sign a superstar #9 with money like that.
Yeah I think Draxler is a really exciting player but paying his release clause is a big ask. For 30m euros I think he's worth the buy but his contract runs until '18 so it's not like Schalke will be under pressure to sell. Save the marquee money for a marquee player (at ST) who can contribute immediately.

I don't care what number they wear but I was us to get a quality striker
If no top striker is available in the summer then i'd take Draxler, no question. 20 years old, great physique and brilliant technique....easy decision.
Not so sure, we took a punt on turning Podi into a CF and he had experience in that position. But at this level he wasn't nearly good enough, so we ended up with a very good left winger for 10M. Splashing 35M on Draxter is to much of a gamble to take on a player you hope to convert.
I'd pick Draxler.
If we can't get a ready made top tier striker, I'd at least like to get someone exciting.
Draxler would give this team a massive lift. He'd be this year's Reyes
Must be more efficient ways to splaff £35m+, surely.
If there are no top strikers available why not.
Draxler has immense potential. Imagine a Draxler Cazorla and Ozil playing together. Oh my.
Or Podolski, Draxler, Gnabry and Ozil.
Draxler is a talent in the Neymar, Isco, Götze bracket. We're all moaning when Wenger says he was close to signing Zlatan and Ronaldo. In five years, that can be Draxler. Or he can be ours.
He's nowhere near as good as Neymar. Not even close. Neymar is an absolute phenom, IMO he will be the best player in the world within 3 years barring injury.
