I'd take him. I think he's excellent at what he does well and I also think other areas of his game are a little underrated too..
That being said, he's surely going to want to go somewhere he'll be guaranteed to be in the first 11 each match..

Doesn't seem to be much behind it, but at a price point of 15-20m, would you take him? I like him as a player but I think we need someone who can play a conventional centre forward's role, not another poacher.

Too small, don't want.

This is pretty much my issue, he's a productive player but he'd basically push Walcott out rather than Giroud. Think we're better off trying to find a competitor for the central role.

I don't buy this first 11 story. With Cazorla, Podolski and Walcott injured, we've had so much space on our frontline that we are probably overplaying Giroud and Ozil. A good player will get sufficient games.
Wait are we talking about Hernandez or Benzema here?

But do the players themselves see it that way? He's a good enough player to be first choice striker for a number of good teams and I reckon that's probably what he'll look for after spending the last few seasons playing a squad role. He'd have no shortage of offers from teams that can guarantee him that rather than having to rely on fatigue and injuries to be playing regularly.
who has had a squad role?
Hernandez.
Ah. Chicharito. Was talking Benzema. Sorry.
😆 My bad too, I didn't see your post previous to my first.
Reckon this Benzerito could be a valuable addition.

Juve saying that if a big offer comes in the next few years for him they might not be able to say no, think it shows the state of the Italian game where they it has become almost a stepping stone now for bigger and better things. Even though he doesn't mention now it is almost as if he is inviting offers for him.
AS also saying Pep might not want Lewandowski and R.Madrid might be ready to pounce, AS can't be trusted but I reckon Bayern will sign him whether Pep likes it or not!

Sounds too ethnic- Next!

Llorente again. Could be a very astute move in January.
On paper he'd fit in great. Atletico and Juve have destroyed his confidence though. I'm worried he'll need some work to get back into shape.
he could be our very own Torres. might as well go for the real thing
Really soon to turn 30 and has 3 years left on his 175k a week deal. No thanks. Llorente on the other hand would be great as a loan because he's quite similar to Giroud in a number of ways too. Immobile but great technically can hold up the ball etc. etc.
llorente is a good shout, and i'd prefer a loan, actually, at his age. i think we could do better anyway, so he'd be a good placeholder.
We have Bendtner who is already similar to Llorente so no thank you.
Comparing out of shape Bendtner with out of shape Llorente 😆
