Agreed, Burnsy. Which still makes me feel that we should continue to upgrade the front 6 wherever possible over the next 2 seasons. In the front 6, I would upgrade positions that are not taken by Cazorla, Ozil and Ramsey as opportunities present themselves. I know we and Wenger love the players we have, but when you look at the likes of Bayern, Barca, Madrid, you instantly understand that we can do much better

It's Giroud and the left side that you would look to upgrade, unless Podolski can really step up when he returns from injury.

Walcott is a weapon. It's not that he's overpoweringly brilliant but his pace is electric, his finishing is quite lethal, he's English and he's an Arsenal talent for many years and a few more.

Ask yourself this - as good as Theo has become in last 18 months, would he get regular starting berths at Bayern, Real or Barca? Of our lot, only Ozil would. A few games would be tossed at Cazorla. The rest would have splinter butt

It doesn't really matter, he's become an Arsenal player and a productive one with great attributes, who's always focused on output.

i'd keep theo on the right, currently no-one in the league offers as much threat to get behind the defense and finish. it's a valuable tool to have in a line-up consisting mainly of string pullers rather than runners.

and upgrade giroud with a striker that's equally comfortable facing goal as he is with his back to goal. giroud only offers one of those things. i'm thinking lewandowski, dzeko, or benzema.

Real Madrid fans can't wait to see Benzema leave. He has huge problems with his mentality, and I'm not sure that's a risk I would take. At least Suarez' problems don't make him play terrible football.

Sometimes think that ego-driven players who turn out for Madrid have problems they'd never have at other clubs.

If Benzema was at Arsenal he'd be well liked and a regular starter in all likelilhood, maybe all those anxieties would dissipate.

If we're going for a forward with questionable mentality then I want Balotelli, he has all the qualities I think we need in the player leading our line.

Benzema hasn't scored in over 20 hours of football for France. I wouldn't pay anywhere near the mentioned 40m for him. Suarez is crazy on the pitch but also a world class forward with all the attributes that we need. Outside the pitch he seems to live the life of a quiet family man. Balotelli is downright mentally unstable both on and off the pitch but his potential is unquestionable. When he's not up for it you are better off with 10 men on the pitch though.

I know who I'd prefer out of those.

At the right price a risk worth taking. Guy has huge potential and I think he needs the right coach to get the best out of him. Getting a lot of stick for the national side and another poor season in Madrid he might be available.

You're right about Suarez, guy seriously doesn't give a flying fuck what people think about him. Very strong mentality, going to be hard to convince Liverpool to let go though. They will offer him abroad before they even consider selling to us, we should of tested their resolve at the time.

Not sure I would want someone as lazy as him as our frontman.

Suarez works incredibly hard and his off the ball running will be a delight for Ozil to pick out.

Agreed. I don't think we're going back in for him though because of the "misinterpretation" of his release clause which in hindsight looks like a con from his agent.
