Well then who was the ITK who said it was Ozil? CAMDEN? One of them certainly did, I forget who.

I doubt Ozil was told anything interesting. He saw the signings Madrid had made and knew it was in his best interests as a footballer to be with us.

For me, this is the move that will help me get past Cesc. Ozil is the better 10.

If Liverpool fall behind us, Suarez kicks up a fuss again and we are genuinely interested then Liverpool may not see the use in keeping an unhappy player.

With no Europe, I see them being in contention at least for the top 4. They won't sell then.

i think they'll make it a lot more difficult for their current club in january, now that they see we mean business. there's a reason players "go on strike" when barca and real madrid are interested. i'm not saying we're all of a sudden at their level, but players know we now mean business.

we'll get someone big in january. i'm certain of it.

Geoff links alot of articles tbf and he was again ahead of everyone else with the bid itsself. And CAMDEN didnt say its Özil, he just said Its not Draxler. So between them, they do know something, but probably not enough.

Good point- if this is the new precedent (which i'm still skeptical about), it'll allow us to more effectively develop our youth players. No more having to worry about throwing guys like Zelalem into the deep end.

Anyway, Khedira said Ozil told him he is leaving on thursday. The deal was definitely in the making for awhile before the media even had any clue on it. No wonder Wenger was so confident in the prematch and postmatch interview. No wonder Andy Cole said that we will surprise the whole world on deadline day.

In any other window, I would say 42.4m is a wee bit overpriced for Ozil. In this window, its a bloody bargain. Illaramendi was 40m, Marquinhos was 35m, Fernandinho was 35m. Cavani is 64m. 😆

Very confident this will go a long way to bring us back to a big club reputation. We are already making waves in the whole world with this insane transfer. A quick look at Madrid, RAWK, Redcafe, Gloryglory etc shows that from the "Arsenal is a joke" "Arsenal will never spend any sort of meaningful money" to "Well played Arsene" "Fair play Arsenal, they are now title challengers". This can pave the way for future big players. They would want to play with players like Ozil and Cazorla. Top players want to play with Top players.

Good point. Here is hoping someone at PSG or Real Madrid will be unhappy with their playing time. But otherwise, it would be hard to sign players like Suarez, Benzema. Really don't understand how come there will be such a lack of striking talents throughout europe.

Anyway, will Arsenal.com be printing the umlaut? Who was our last number 11? Judas?
