Absolutely chuffed. I'm usually a sulking lil bitch at work on a Monday but yesterday was something else. Zero productivty at work but my word what a signing. Best player in the league instantly. It feels so great to have (one of) the best player in the league again.

Not only did we break our tansfer record, we fucking tripled it. Wenger must have got a nose bleed.

Don't usually watch international matches etc apart from highlights but there's no way I'm not watching Germany in this coming week. Can't wait for the next game already.

Can't get my arms down. We're becoming quite a "German" club like we used to be "French" and I'm sure there are more germans to come in the future which is fantastic considering this generation is seen as the golden one by many.

Still remember watching him in a Bundesliga match for Werder Bremen against Freiburg where he made 4 assists to help his team win 6-0 and I was thinking "this guy's the real deal". Obviously wanted us to sign him then but no doubt he has become an even better and a more complete player from his time at Real Madrid and now he's here... Unbelievable!

I doubt Van Persie was told anything different. Ozil is 24, RvP was 29, he probably didn't think he had anytime. Ozil can agree to come on promises of what we might do next summer or the summer after that. RvP was having none of that.
