That Madrid won't take monopoly money?

Nah. The complete opposite is the worry

Ha 🙂, I like the way his face is half buried in the sleeping bag.

😆

I've really convinced myself that this signing would be perfect for us. I'm only setting myself up for disappointment.

you still get excited for arsenal transfer rumours?

I think we're gonna get him.

At the last minute the price will go to £39 mil for £28 mil, how we can't expect that from them is obscene after the dealings with had with them over Higuain.

At the moment the thing that's pushing back concluding anything is the Bale deal.

The spuds think Levy is deliberately prolonging final negotiations to make it harder for Madrid to do further business, especially with English clubs, that might be a bit tinfoil hat though.

After that's locked in Madrid should be relatively eager to recoup sooner rather than later on at least one or two players.

Spurs have the perfect opportunity to really screw us this summer.

Our ability to nail Di Maria or Oezil is dependent on Madrid getting Bale in. if Spurs are smart, they will delay the Bale sale as late as possible - e.g., Friday, putting us in a frantic scramble to get whatever players Madrid then chooses to offload. Would be kind of funny if it actually happened.

Our ability to get Di maria in depends entirely on Madrid. If they want to keep him then we will be held to ransom, what do you think will happen there? No player is up for forcing a move to us unless they are at a dog shite club like newcastle or some such.

I don't think we've a hope here. I was excited at first but the lack of positive news from Spain is making me feel this is never going to happen.

That's why Arsene was talking up the whole "desire arsenal" shite in the press. Gives the mole an out when we fail to sign top target and instead get soopa-top-top-top quality like cabaye and flamini.

Galatasaray have agreed a fee with Real, apparently. No bid from us.

WHAT THE FUCK?

He still has to be convinced to join them which would be the bigger battle IMO. But we need to stop dragging our feet and bid already. I would be perfectly fine with up to 80m for both Ozil and Di Maria. Both are younger and would bring such creativity to a side that lacks it at times.

I meant that we haven't even bid. What the fuck are Cock Law and Co. doing? Tying up the Flamini deal, no doubt. Useless tossers.

Deal fixer Dick Law's probably just finished hanging up his coat in his London office. By now he would have said his hellos to staff and made a cup of coffee. Next up he'll unpop his briefcase

Gala?

Dicky and Ivan are probably still on the yacht trying to find out how to get to spain let alone bid for one of Madrid's players.

We could be in negotiations without making a formal bid. It's a formality if all parties agree. (not saying we are negotiating)

They probably won't go to Spain until Ryanair has a sale

😆 Are you beginning to see a pattern forming Y?

Yep.
Papers are full of crap and we'll not buy anyone of the calibre of Di Maria.
I feel a bout of mild fury coming on, think I may have run out of patience with this window.

Guillem Balague says we've bid for him.

Balague has never been right about anything.

I think Real Madrid will be reluctant to sell him until Bale is signed and I don't think Bale will be sold until the final day. You'd almost think Spurs are doing this on purpose 😉

Bale won't be sold until the final minunte, not just final day.

Guess Podolski being out now makes a forward even more important. Never mind, I'm sure Flamini could probably do a job.....

The important thing is 'versatility' Invis. Don't forget what Wenger has taught us.

I am not worried. We all know big Per can do a job at CF.

at least the next 5 days will be funny. i remember some classic dark humour on here at the end of 2011 window.

Absolutely. "Super super quality" remember. I still maintain Sanogo will be tried on the left.

Why the hell arent we in for Lamela instead!? Getting Madrid boys was always a longshot.

Spurs take Lamela, we can't be arsed to spend that much as arsene will think about all the others he COULD have got for similar money. Then we will get shafted as Di Maria has no interest in coming to the club as we have fallen right down the pecking order in most players books over our recent record of 'best of the rest'.

Every year transfer fees get higher and Wenger seems to baulk even more, GET WITH THE PROGRAMME YOU NUTTERS!

I think he'll leave if he is shown the door by Real Madrid, they probably won't inform him of that until the Bale deal is finalised.

From what I've read he is more of a prospect than anything else, I think we need a ready made player not another project. Then again I've never seen this guy even play but if he is as good as the hype it does raise the question as to why nobody else is in for him.
