Can't see anyone at Real wanting rid of Ozil but with Bale coming I think Di Maria is a realistic option. It's all well and good to talk about fighting for your place but one conversation with your manager can change that pretty quickly.

SSN reporters are saying that the scum are holding up the Bale deal till after our game so that they can focus on the game and delay us signing Di Maria and possibly someone else. I don't know how much to trust that.

That was my theory last night, but upon reflection, it doesn't make much sense. Just like spurs made a bunch of signings in anticipation of the Bale deal going through, we could do the same (and I don't see why Madrid wouldn't comply).

Again what's the delay in us striking a deal? If they are sure of getting Bale, which they are then why hold up our play for others that they will offload when chimpy comes in? Its not like Levy is going to pull the plug because madrid sold us di maria.

Wenger's waiting for the NLD result. If we win it then we already have the super quality required to challenge. If we lose he can spring a shiny new player on us to deflect away from the defeat.

Although, even if by some bizarre turn of fate we somehow sign Di Maria, it won't be enough to prevent this window from being a major let-down.
