We all know about his buyback clause, why wouldn't we know about a sell on clause?
We know for a fact though that we have insisted on sell on clauses for many of the players we have sold in the last couple of years. It is hardly unreasonable to think we would have done the same with Vela, especially since he was one of the more talented players we have let go in the same time period.

We know cos Vela was asked about coming back to Arsenal and he mentioned the buy back. Before that nobody had a scooby.
Vela isn't coming back though in all likelihood. Think he was too badly burnt when he was here, and his career has picked up nicely in Spain.
He hated his time here. Why would he come back when he's doing great in a spanish speaking land with less attention than a top club. Have you read that article about him and the National team of mexico? This guys walks to the beat of his own drum. He couldn't care less about 'career advancement' or exposure.
