Real Madrid probably will be looking to get rid of him and possibly Benzema in the summer, free up funds for Suarez maybe? They are going through one of their little phases, where perfectly good players are got rid to make way for more expensive players! Higuain & Ozil already gone and I wouldn't be surprised if those two follow. Unlike the past though they look to be trying to get the most they can rather than flogging their players off cheap.

Di Maria creates a lot, but I'd rather one of our wide players have legit end product....otherwise we're again over reliant on Giroud (Ramsey).

Walcott's loss wouldn't be as big a deal if Özil wasn't so toothless in front of goal.

The referee in the Valencia-Atletico match just fell over an Atletico player who was tying his laces. 😆

A bit off topic but Kike Marin tweeted that Xabi Alonso wanted to join Arsenal in the summer of 2008 but it was Benetiz who wouldn't let him join. Always been led to believe we cocked up our side by moving so late. He would of gone a long way in helping after the loss of Flamini & Hleb that summer

Don't think we moved too late. I think we just bid a few million short of what Liverpool wanted.

The Alonso thing always pissed me off, he would of made our midfield tick and considering we has bought Nasri to replace Hleb I'd say he would of been a big improvement over Flamini and could never understand the club for not going in harder.

Haven't watched any La Liga this year (highlights aside) but may have to catch this game.
