That's why Messi wins the Balon D'Or every year...

I prefer Ronaldo, but he isn't better than Messi. That shit cray.

The Barca wankfest knows no bounds.

Not named Messi.

As great as Messi is, you surely can't argue that he's more complete than Ronaldo?

Messi is lacking physically and aerially, can't deny that.

Messi isn't physically weak at all and is one of the best headers of the ball, the only question mark over messi is he hasn't played in any other league apart from la liga as opposed to Ronaldo.

Still the better footballer though.

So? Since when did physique become the criteria by which we measure how complete a player is? Messi is a better footballer in every conceivable way.

Messi understands that football is a team game, so that's something he has on Ronaldo.

When did I say that?

Messi ain't lacking physically anyway. He has the perfect mix of physical abilities for his style of play. In fact, his physique compliments his footballing gifts to a freakish extent.

😆 I have no time for a bullshit discussion about semantics here. It's clear what you meant by pointing to physique and aerial ability.

Which is what exactly? Enlighten me.

That Ronaldo is a more complete footballer because he's more dominant physically and aerially. Which, again, begs the question asked.

Bingo!

😆 Messi as a footballer is on another planet altogether, his lack of muscle or height won't change that.

Ronaldo is probably more exciting, may be because Messi doesn't surprise anymore.

Messi is better than Ronaldo in certain aspects of his game, but Ronaldo has a broader skillset.

This is pointless anyway, Messi vs Ronaldo discussions never end and descend into fanboyism.

Both are fantastic, I prefer Ronaldo (and think he's better).

I haven't got time/patience for a full-on 2 page bullshit discussion about the semantics of what 'completeness' is, but I do have quick time for a bullshit comment:

Is completeness about how many things you can do, or is about how well you do them?

When I think of a 'complete' player, I tend to think of the latter; someone who has little/no room for improvement given what is required from their position or role in the team.

The real Ronaldo could dribble like Messi and was as physically imposing as Cristiano, was also as good or better at finishing and lightening fast with the ball at his feet.

So there.
